Transporting foods for lunches and picnics and storing leftovers for reheating is a cinch with the Pyrex Storage Plus set. Included in this set are two 2-cup rounds, one 3 1/2-cup rectangular, one 4-cup round, and one 6-cup rectangular storage piece, all glass, with plastic covers. Pyrex glass doesn't warp, stain, or absorb odors, and can be used in the oven, microwave, oven, refrigerator, or freezer for storing, reheating and serving. The set is easy to stack, so it takes up less cabinet space when not in use. The set includes a pamphlet with safety and use instructions, and each glass piece is covered by a two-year warranty. --Rhonda Langdon

Great for storing food. Glass is far better and safer than plastic.
Rating: 5
I would highly recommend pyrex containers. I used to use plastic ones until I read that they can melt with use and that plastic has harmful byproducts for people that leach into the food when heated up.
They take thermal shock decently well, but being glass, it's still advised that it's used with caution when changing temperatures radically. It will still break.
For $15, it's a GREAT bargain. Buy two and it's free shipping which is awesome.
Worth the Money

I really liked this stuff. Easy to use, but I wish they weren't this heavy. For $10 bucks I shouldn't ask for more
Great deal on safe containers

After hearing a story on NPR about the dangers of heating or storing food in plastic containers I made it a small mission to replace all my "disposable" plastic containers. These have a wide variety of good sizes to get stared with. Plus they are freezer to over, microwave, to dinner table safe, they don't stain or hold food smells. Plus you aren't going to throw them away like you would with the disposable containers, which makes them a bit for green in my view.
