Rating: 5 Ordered these headphones after going through umpteen reviews on C-net, amazon and ultrasone websites. I must say I wasn't quite immediately blown out by the music that is produced on this pair, as I was expecting to be. But after certain burn in and getting used to, I'm beginning to love it. The clarity on the HFI700s is just amazing and must be heard to be believed. The bass is just sweetly balanced and not overwhelming. External noise is blocked out so well that you can almost hear your breathe when music isn't playing ! Minor nits: is that since the ear covers are made of leather, it can lead to heat build up and sweating after prolonged listening. And the connector cable is not detachable from the ear cups and are fairly long...not very convenient to use with portable players. With their amazing build quality ...I'm sure I'll stick to this one for years to come ! Outstanding Headphones Rating: 5 After a lot of research and looking at Bose and Sennheiser headphones, I found the Ultrasone HFI-700s. The S-logic surround sound produces a fuller and much more enveloping sound than both Bose and Sennheiser. I never knew my music and DVD's could sound so good. While a little bit of break in time was needed, I now feel like I am at the concert or in the movie. While Ultrasone has not yet made a name in America comparable to Bose, the quality of their product easily surpasses every other headphone I heave heard. These are overall outstanding headphones. Unbelievable Headphones -- I Cannot Say Enough Rating: 5 I normally don't write product reviews, but these headphones are so wonderful that I had to share my thoughts. I did lots of research before choosing the Ultrasone HFI 700's and I'm extremely happy with my decision. While Bose and Sennheiser headphones are solid, they don't provide the enveloping soundstage created by the S-Logic system in the Ultrasone HFI's. The 700's also completely block any sound from escaping the headphones, allowing you to listen to your music at any volume level without bothering people near you. The headphones are extremely comfortable and can be worn for hours--I just recently used them continuously for 14 hours on a plane ride. If your worried about damaging the headphones in transit, make sure to buy a Pelican case, which will protect them when you make long trips. Essentially, these headphones have revolutionized how I listen to music and make the experience so much more complete that I cannot recommend them highly enough. Stop contemplating and buy them now; I promise you will not regret it.
